As I said in the previous post, building a good quality computer is better than buying an already built one, but if you add up the price of the OS and other software already installed on your computer the price goes up really high.
It is almost the mindset of every computer builder that after you changed the motherboard processor and some other components on your computer you will need to reinstall the OS again. As I found out a couple of times when rebuilding computers, this is not always the case; in a cloned computer (computer you built) the OS will accept the new configuration.
You will nee to reinstall the drivers for the new devices of course, but you will be able to retain your OS license and software you might have installed on your old computer.
Also, the OS might not accept the new motherboard configuration, but an OS repair can do the trick, you insert your windows OS and then when asked for installation, you just choose to do a repair and that will do the trick in some cases.
